Poison Jab is awful coverage, but it hits a bit harder comming from Kommo'o higher attack stat

However, if he wants to use Poison Jab he will need to go mixed as his special moveset is far superior, so any way you end up using a sub-optimal move in order to hit fairies

The best set will be mixed. You use Clanging Scales, Dragon Dance, Poison Jab, and a physical fighting move. If it gets Drain Punch that would be optimal but if not Sky Uppercut would be fine. You DD up on a forced switch, then kill something off with the Z-Move and then you're at +2 Speed and Attack, putting you ahead of Scarfers and letting you OHKO all the tapus save physically defensive Fini which ideally you wear down a bit first.

You know the move is really good. Now, lets talk about the other stuff that Kommo-o will get, I am talking about Move Tutors. There 2 moves that I think that will greatly benefit Kommo-o, namely, Drain Punch and Iron Tail. Well, I think those are almost guaranteed to be added to its movepool and will make him at least UU. I would love Gunk Shot, since it is an attack about throwing trash and Kommo-o has arms, it is not so crazy to think that it could learn it but I don’t think it will get it. As for other choices, I think that: Zen Headbutt, Aqua Tail, Superpower, Earth Power, Knock-Off, Superpower and the Elemental Punches are the other moves it might get. Still those won’t solve the real problem, actually setting up and surviving the turn actually hit. Not to mention that it still loses to Fini and Clefable. After all is said and done, I don’t think it will something to use early in the match but something to clean a team after the counters have being removed.

The move I would like Kommo-o to get the most is Calm Mind. You could setup it before unleashing Clangorous Soulblaze, making it also not total deadweight with a Fairy type alive, and then sweep with +2 Clangling Scales.
