Who knows? People on here seem to think that the director makes or breaks the game when in reality it's a group thing. The reason why Unno, Morimoto, and Kawachimaru's games seemed so great is because there were already base games to build off of. They're given way too much credit.

See, they didn't even mention "new" here. It's just a director, a different one than Ohmori. So it could be someone of the trio (Unno, Morimoto, Kawachimaru), or it could be someone completely new. But to me, it would make the most sense to give it to one of the trio.

In any case, maybe they'll reveal the director once and for all tomorrow. Even if we do know the director in the end, unless they fix SM's problems, I see no reason to buy USUM.

Masuda is basically the best at laying out the ground work for a generation. He typically plays the most safe.

Morimoto is a battle designer, so of course he adds something like the Battle frontier and leader rematches.

Kawachimaru had some cool ideas like the distortion world. Probably should have directed SM given the idea of Ultra Space, but he only worked on one game, so hard to gauge.

Unno probably got free reign to do whatever in BW2, since they were moving on to the 3ds. So he probably went all out on the features.

And Ohmori is easily the most anime and probably a Scifi fag too. So much plotting in his games along with shipping characters so hard.

And Tajiri is autistic so of course his focus is on the single minded journey.

This is unfair, they are given a game that it's just all ready made and they only have to think what to add over it or change based on feedback so of course they appear as if they did a better job. Scenario planing and map design and production are very time consuming and this is 90% recycled so they have extra time to do whatever the fuck they want.

Morimoto is a long time employee that overseas a lot of Game Freak and Pokemon production stages from the early days so I trust him, but I wanna see Unno who is an artist and Kawachimaru who has had very little involvement in design actually make a game from the beginning.

Imagine working 16 hours on a painting and then some person comes and changes the colors then adds it to a collage and suddenly people forget the original and the 16 hours it took and praise the other person for the edits.
