Its a fresh game, I followed the instructions and links posted above. The only think I can think of is that I had trouble getting hold of the right version of fire red, so it could be dodgy. I've had some odd graphical bugs such as this tree being part beach. It was just a random encounter, caught it normally and it functions the same as any other pokemon except it shows up as the shiny version of whatever its next to in box.

Thinking about starting this game. Heard cheating has repercussions for the story. I like that concept. I'm just curious about what qualifies as "cheating." Obviously rare candy code counts as cheating and other hacks. But does save states? I play roms on my phone and I only have the option to save state on it because my phone is extremely old and shitty and only has one terrible emulator available for it.

Non state doesn't count. As far as I know it counts items like rare candies that have a limited number in game. I haven't tried to cheat, so I don't know.

What Im doing is tedious, but everytime I encounter a Pokemon I generate a random number from 1 - 386, and PKHeX the Pokemon of the corresponding Pokedex number in, same level and knowing moves it would at that level.

Anybody used Glassanon? That thing can destroy! I never see it in these threads.

Is there a way to tell how many EVs a pokemon has? Or if they're finished with EVs. I just realized that phantash has high ass special defense, and wanted to give him some EVs in it, but I've been using ignut for a while.

You can load the save in pkhex to see exact EV values though I can't imagine the save not breaking if you try to actually change anything
