BW2's main game was fine, entertainingly retarded story and they chose more cool places from BW1 than lame ones for it unlike BW1 plus the great new and remixed areas

Story doesn't matter, theme doesn't matter, focusing on these things is what's killing Pokemon (and killed many other games in the past).
BW2 is good because it has a lot of content and Pokemon variety, great region with lots of optional areas, and great endgame content. It's also fairly challenging on challenge mode.
