I think you've taken the wrong approach. Rather than taking a dragonfruit and making it dragon like, draw a dragon with features taken from dragonfruits instead, maybe even incorporating some of that white/black pulp on its belly or eyes.

I see you posting these in the recent fakemon threads. First off, just because there's lore behind it doesn't mean it'll automatically be well accepted, you also need to make a cool design out of it. Some wavy wisps in a woman-like shape won't cut it in my book, particularly since we've had Jynx since the beginning.

Not much for me to suggest since it's clear that you're currently a budding artist, going the full Northern Wind route with "floating head with hair blowing cold air" would put it too close to Misdreavus, and putting clothing on her would just further inch it closer to Jynx, who as far as I know may even be based on what you're trying to portray.

Good attempt, but I'd recommend abandoning it and trying something else that's less represented among the canon species.

I hate when fakemon just start weilding weapons all of a sudden for no real reason, that axe looks like it could be made by natural materials like seashells, a crab's pincers or something similar and that's good but it still looks too much like it's manmade, I advise making it look more "natural".
The shell armor is fine by the helmet bit has the same problem as the axe, the horns in particular look too much actual viking helmet horns, they should resemble more antennas/eyestalks like the previous stages and I also advise them making them bigger and pointing forward, it would give it a more menacing and characteristic look.

Rose dragon is cool. I like reptiles in general.
A horse turning into a rhino is a nice twist. I love it, but i could see people not liking it and getting angry at it if it was a real Pokemon.
Swan princess would be my choice if these mons were real starters. It reminds me of my plush stork.

I'm working on a boardgame/war-game thing, where players build teams of three monsters to battle for them on a grid. (You write your monster's stats on an index card, and roll 8 sided dice to determine the accuracy and effectiveness of your attacks.)

Posting my shit-mons again. I posted this over a year ago, but then I saw someone post a similar idea yesterday and decided to come back to finish mine.

Mimicodo: A dragon type that crawls around caves and steals money from trainers. The idea in game would have the trainer come to a cave area and there are treasure chest everywhere, some being real and some being mimicodos

Wallaton: When reaching the right level and if the trainer has 10,000 in their wallet, mimicodo will turn into Wallaton. It's supposed to look like a sack of money, but maybe the currency sign is too much.

I want the evolution to use a new item made with the dragon in mind, like the King's Rock. This new item would probably just be a large gem stone. Once it is holding this item it spits up its gold, melts it on its body and the evolution item is mounted on its snout like a horn.

Not sure what to do for the final evo. I feel like it should just be pure dragon type.

Echoing what others have said about the base and middle stage being worlds apart in appearance. Also kind of difficult to see it as a snail when it sprouts both legs, arms, and uses a multitude of shells along with an axe. Do you know what snails look like? The end result looks cool, but I'd rather see it as a RPG encounter than Pokemon.

I like the theme you've got going on, but I feel it's a bit on the nose with the grass and water starter, latter in particular. At the same time it's odd how the fire starter doesn't quite stick to that theme by becoming a rhino instead of a knight's steed, so I guess I find that there's a simultaneous abundance AND lack of consistency at play here. I'm sure others have already mentioned, but the water starter will always live in Swanna's shadow, and I encourage you to pick a different species and typing as base for it.

Please avoid reposting the same old drawings when you've done nothing to improve them. If you expect people to take time to help you, you should take the same time to sow some results. Finishing that last stage would be a start, although I'm fairly sure that I've commented about how these designs are too literal and should be more dragons and less money-containers with legs.

Sure mate. As much as I'd love to see a good Grass/Electric design, this one feels tacked on and less of something that makes sense as the species develops. It also has that issue with "the fur is replaced with leaves which makes it grass type" shtick, if you want it to work then you need to make the greenery seem justified, otherwise you're left with a design that just doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Doodled these sleepy in like 20 minutes at class, they're based on birds that can be found at my university (Toco toucan/Burrowing owl->Toco toucan->Vulture, Lark->Southern lapwing->Eagle), except for the two stage line which are based on various poultry (first stage: California quail; Second stage: Pheasant [body and tail], rooster [comb], turkey [wattle], peacock [train], chukar partridge [stripes]).

The concept is that people raise the pheasant-looking guy as livestock, but the viking bird finds them delicious and steal them from farms, so farmers started raising the gladiator bird to protect the poultry from the vulture. The quad weakness to the vulture's move is intentional, as the eagle would be faster and would learn Steel moves to beat it.

I adore the rose dragon. It's perfect. I want one.
The rhino's not bad. He doesn't really grab my attention, but I like his concept, and I think he'd appeal to people.
The swan is the weakest of the bunch. I get what you were going for, but it's too blatant. It's just a bird in a dress. I'd suggest going more for elegance than flat out femininity.

Collectively, I really like the concept. The knight, the damsel, and the dragon makes for a fantastic starter trio. It even works with the type matchups- the dragon kidnaps the damsel, the damsel captivates the knight, and the knight slays the dragon. It's really clever.

I'm immediately drawn to the bomb rat, that's hilarious. The rattler's pretty good too, and I get a good feeling from the sheep even though it's so plain. The cow seems like it might be dangerous later, because I don't trust a fire type looking that mellow. The fire ant could go either way- bug is a weird choice for a starter type, but he fits. The rabbit's a little bland, but I like rabbits, so he's good. I'm indifferent to the other two.

Oh my god that hippo. He's so derpy, I love it. The surfing platypus is good, and I don't actually know what the one in the bottom left is but I like him. The whole bottom row is kind of out there, honestly. Not in a bad way, you just seem to have stuck all the oddballs down there, which is amusing. The rest are okay, they're well designed but not really what I'd probably choose.

Well done, overall. The art is simple but clean, and your ideas are pretty varied. You don't usually see someone churning out that many starters at once. Thanks for sharing.
