There's no Dark bat surprisingly.

I guess it's because in Gen I there was no Dark type, so Zubat was a Poison type. And as Zubat is already based on vampires and has no eyes, a Dark bat would be redundant.

A regional form of Zubat would be pretty cool, one that keeps the lack of eyes throughout its line and also really emphasizes the vampyric theme. Poison/Dark or Dark/Flying.

We have a few spider Pokemon already, but I'm surprised there's no Black Widow yet. I was thinking something where they would combine it with two female yokai. The first is Jorogumo which is a shapeshifting spider that often takes the form of a beautiful woman. The second is the Hannya, a woman transformed into a demon by jealousy or rage, often due to her husband, which would mesh well with the popularized notion that female black widows eat their mates.

We already have a unicorn though. But an Alicorn could perhaps be better for Fairy/Flying than a pure Pegasus.

Well, yeah, that is the only connection. But think about it; would they have set out to make a Fairy-type mushroom pokémon without knowing what a fairy ring was? Plus Morelull's SM website entry says something about it linking roots together with others of its kind.

Nah, melarkey. Rapidash is a horse that's on fire and also has a horn on its face, (and I love it.) It has none of the symbology, mythology or even the 'general vibe' of a unicorn. There's plenty room for a Fairy one that plays unicorns straight, maybe as a Rapidash regional variant

An Alicorn would be a nice, neat way to knocking out both unicorn and Pegasus out in one go, yeah. They could do that.

To be honest, I'd also really like a Ghost horse. Y'know,there's a lot of stories about dark shadowy steeds with equally shady riders. Like the 4 horsemen of the apacolypse, the ringwraiths from LoTR, or the headless horseman. Have it be a little skeletal. You see a lot of skeletal horses because the skeleton of a horse is just really cool-looking and dragonish. Have the Ghost horse and the Alicorn be counterparts, I suppose, so we can knock out all our horses in one generation.
