There will most definitely be something, it just depends on what the next games actually are. Depending on how close the next generation is, they might drop some hints about that (e. g., mentions of a faraway region or Pokémon we haven't seen, just sequel bait in general, stuff like that).

I could see them adding a bunch of gen 4 Pokémon to the Dex as a "hint" of sorts for the DP remakes, and maybe a few references to Sinnoh throughout the games similar to how Sun and Moon mentioned the Canalave Library.
But yeah, in any case, I'm sure the Switch game(s) is/are getting a shoutout of some kind.
