This one, but because of items not Pokemon.
Fucking GS and its limited TMs and evolution stone scarcity. It doesn't help that I played Stadium 2 and I had to literally level every Pokemon to 100 for the Prime Cup (who thought that was a good idea?), so cloning rare candies 5 at a time was the fastest method after level 40 or so, maybe even earlier.
Let's not forget grinding stat EXP (the old EVs) either, that was a nightmare, so cloning vitamins was great too.

I'd honestly not play GS beyond the credits if it weren't for the clone glitch. Thankfully later games wised up and gave unlimited ways of acquiring important consumables like stones, and made TMs infinite. Fuck SM for requiring you to get to level 100 for hyper training though, also had to give myself infinite rare candies in that game, except I did it with a save editor this time.
