Steel is amazing WHEN IT SYNERGIZES WITH A TYPE THAT COVERS ONE OF STEEL'S WEAKNESSES.

Fire,fighting, and ground are awful weaknesses to have, so you notice how all of the best steel types have a secondary type that makes at least one of those neutral. Then you have pokemon like lucario whose two types don't really synergize, so it would objectively be better as a pure fighting type so it wouldn't get OHKOd by flamethrower/close combat/earthquake.

Wrong wrong, the extra resistances from Steel make Lucario a lot better than it would be as pure Fighting

The reason Fire, Fighting, and Ground are so common is BECAUSE Steel is weak to them

You're right, though, spiky shield makes a lot of sense for the Ferro line.

Give it rapid spin, spiky shield, kings shield, stance change, +300 BST, a signature move so that we can send this little shit in ubers and never see it ever again.
