At the very least, they could have given them new forms since they seem less than willing to do cross-gen evos. Also, Minior should have been their pre-evo.

Hopefully USUM will at least include them in the dex.

Solrock and Lunatone are some of my favourite Pokémon. That being said, Power Gem, Flare Blitz and some minor tank stat boosts is much much better than anything they've gotten from the other 3 gens they've lived through, bar Stealth Rock and Stone Edge, which only really favours the former. I'd hardly say they've been failed.

It'd be nice if they not only included them, but also gave them Shields Down as their Alola form ability.
Then you have all three being linked without them needing them to be evos.

Thanks for the awesome replies and I'm all for alolan forms for them with better move pools and also new abilities would help. I hope we get some new forms for this next game.
