There are 4 new karp patterns but I don't think I have unlocked then yet at rank 85... I could be wrong and missed the screen though. Something funky I noticed: the achievement screen STILL SAYS x/29 patterns, rather than x/33 after the update. Not sure why the achievement doesn't count them

IIRC the JP required for Elite 4 completion was 11.8 G? That or 12.1 G. Somewhere in that area

Why? At a certain point it takes no effort to max out a Magicarp, at least before this update. I "sold" mine. Got a decent coin carp, purposely lost some league battle, and triggered money events repeatedly. Rinse and repeat with all LP restores. Now that 500 coins is an event I'm not sure how viable this strategy is, but even a 90% carp could net me just under 100k per LP restore with a loss and go Magicarp go.

Beating the Master League multiple times yields the same ending sequences all over again, with an added skip button, but in all, it takes much longer than usual to go to the next karp.

You unlock some shit after the ending, including patterns and events. I'm looking to 100% this game. Foods are max, still have to max training, 4 achievements left, 4 patterns left and 4 events left as well as dratini, snorlax and mimikyu events. Also want to unlock all support mons and decorations, as well as see how far this pond booster can go.
Really, I'm just still doing about the same shit as I've been doing since finishing the last update.

Also, quick tip for people looking to reach rank 100, it's kinda useless to do the league, unless you're looking to max motivation out. The exp you gain when retiring a karp is based on the JP it gained, and there's a fucking high cap on it now, so you can get a ton of exp with a single karp with enough JP.
I'm not sure how it scales, though. Do you get more exp with 2 10G karps or 1 20G karp? I'm not sure.

Diamond grinding on 1.0.2 was the fastest method.
I did that for all the shit up to 1.3 I think and managed to buy everything but Gengar and Dugtrio, which are both completely useless now that I don't have any leagues and barely any levels to get anymore.

All I'm doing right now is trying to get the last patterns and events and max everything else in the meantime.
I don't think I'll go for 100% booster since that requires over 1 billion coins for something that is essentially pointless to get.

Fun fact: If you complete master league before reaching rank 90, the game kinda glitches out where after capping you don't get instantly thrown into the league and you can eat food but it gives you 0 JP. This can be fixed by changing screens.

Hard to tell.
You have to keep in mind that the Ditto stacks with the Golden karp statue to give you a 22% multiplier while Cacnea + Starmie only gets you +20%.
I think in the long run it would depend on how active you're playing the game.

So yeah, black pattern uses dark gray instead of regular, I gave second version where it actually uses dark gray instead of dark brown

Although two of my favorite colors (purple and white) are featured among the patterns, I think blue magikarp looks the best.

You can keep doing the last league and still hope for Macho Karp but I feel like they made it much more likely to get the positive outcome.
I got it like 5 times today and only managed to evolve it once when it used to be the other way around.
