I don't particularly care about any of them but I must admit rhydon was an absolute sis on one of my fire red replays. Contrary to what many would say, I don't think rhyperior should completely lose the orange plate armor to be good, but it should definitely be arranged better. The "headphones" and the elbows in particular make it look so dumb.

They're all 8/10 imo but I see why a lot of people don't like rhyperior. It could do without the armor squares on it's head and crotch, it removed the rhydon ears, plus it looks kinda fat. Having the color palette a little closer to rhydon's and rhyhorn's would've been nice too. The 4th gen cross evos get a lot of shit anyways because some people didn't like older designs they liked being changed so drastically

Rhyperior is great, it's got a goofy cute allure while also being imposing, with some supporting themes in its palette and armour shapes. Its palm cannons are fun and interesting, but it could do without the second horn.
Rhyhorn is also great as its monotone scheme and ambiguous shapes seamlessly convey a reckless beast of rock, blending into the environment while also keeping its own identifiable silhouette.
Rhydon is just boring in all fronts.

Alll of them are great, but it's impossible to deny that Rhyhorn is just one of the best executed designs in the game

Rhyperior is my all time favorite pokemon. I understand it has massive flaws and is generally disliked, but that's fine. I never wanted him to be perfect.

That being said, I dislike the previous evolutions. The jump from Rhyhorn to Rhydon has always seemed a bit weird.

My only wish is that Rhyperior would somehow become Ground/Fighting instead. Sue me.

I just want Rhyperior to have ears.

Rhyhorn is actually 10/10, one of my favourite designs & is one of the few mons that actually did well from the 3D transition

Rhydon used to be one of my favourites from Gen 1 as a kid ('a rock type that learns Surf?!') but I now realise it's a bit silly & doesn't do justice to its prevo. It also looks terrible in 3D

Rhyperior is probably my #1 most-hated mon (swaps over with Lickilicky every so often). Not because it's fat, but because there's just waaay too much going on with it:

>noise protectors
>second horn, but this one isn't a drill
>to fit it onto the new head shape the original horn drill has to be angled down
>demolition protection gear all over it, including one on its fucking crotch
>make it bright fucking orange
>make the rest of it muddy brown which doesn't complement the orange at all
>now has eyebrows, let's make them orange too lol
>wrecking ball tail
>turbo-round
>belly detail now shrunk to basically a bib
>arm cannons in a ball-and-socket joint with proper pointy elbows
In the end the thing looks like it could be an overdesigned fucking Eggman robot. And to top it all off it gains no more than 10 in any stat

I love all pokemon.

Seriously, I find something to like in each one of them, be it design, an appearence in the anime or a movie, competitive niche, in-game usage or just typing and move list. Maybe I don't like some as much as others, and I definitely have my favourites, but I don't hate a single one of them.

Well, except one.
Rhyperior.

I hate that fucking fat ugly blob of a rocky mess with burning passion. Not only it ruined a good line, but it ruined what is supposedly the first pokemon ever created. Rhyperior is a blemish on the entire franchise, if Gamefreak ever chooses to reboot Pokemon and does some sort of poll to ask fans who they want removed, I'll be sure to make several dozens of accounts in order to remove the rocky fat fuck.
