Boy was I wrong
Ya boi Guzma turned out to be my favorite team boss and Team Skull turned out to be more likeable than presumed
Also, Ya boi Guzma's battle theme is among the best in the SM OST

I disliked Team Skull initially because they didn't feel like they'd be a threat. Just a bunch of tryhard goons. 'This is our main evil faction?' But, nah, turns out that they're just a bunch of losers that the Aether Foundation uses, so I ended up actually liking them. They don't feel like a threat because they aren't.

I absolutely LOVED this encounter theme. I didn't by into most of the memeing about Guzma during the pre-release hype, but in the game itself I enjoyed ya boi. I felt like the cutscenes with him were actually pretty effective. The music sets the tone, and the way he interacts with Kukui and his grunts tells you everything you need to know. For a character in a Pokemon game, I was actually kinda impressed.
