Coincidentally I called my Metagross family lines Alpha and Omega before OR/AS existed.

I then bred a specifically Mega one this Gen and called it Delta since it was the fourth Generation in the family since Gen 3.

If you want a mythical sword, names like Dainsleif, Gram or Blutgang are better, personally speaking.
"Masamune" brings into mind a katana, and if Metagross is a sword, it'd be a broadsword than anything.

There's more to a good nickname than it just being "a strong word", anon. Personally I'd go with Singularity, because of it being a highly intelligent supercomputer, but even that sounds a bit tacky.
