I've never had to wait more than a few minutes.

Have you changed the time on the system while waiting or did you change systems entirely? Because that will probably lock you out for up to 2 days every time you do it.

(Lockout timer for changing time is 24 hours and then you need to wait until the next midnight for timed events to reset.)

Though, thinking about it, it could also be if you've changed the time or systems (which is tantamount to changing the time) that they never fixed the bug I encountered in B2/W2 (which I talked to support about so they should've passed it on).

While I haven't had any issue in the recent games, a few months before the end of the WFC, my main copy of Black 2 got blocked for a bit after a power outage took me offline in the middle of a battle, Without thinking before opening the game the next day, I'd changed the time because it was daylight savings and last I checked it still tells me I have to wait.

In other words, I was permanently locked out and even their support had no idea what to do except restart the game.
