But seriously, this is a good question. Verlisify has been often called the DSP of the Pokemon community, and it matches up as far as a video game let's player/youtuber who is seemingly hated by 90% of the internet's population and keeps being caught (intentionally) in controversy for attention. DSP also gets called a hypocrite, etc, the same deal.
DSP is free falling for years, he's on a fast track to being homeless, Machinima dropped him a few months ago and he keeps declining. And yet Verlisify is thriving, and if anything he is growing, especially when you consider the massive downward train of Pokemon views after the SM hype died out, which didn't affect him nearly as much as most other Youtubers. Other Poketubers are having to branch out to other games and streaming on Twitch to make ends meet, yet Verlisify is still going strong without branching out at all.

What's his secret? I'm going to watch the OP video but I'm not hopeful it'll have the answer.
