Although it's probably not gonna happen I warmed up to Incineroar, still think Torracat is best though. Still mad about the speed though, all they had to do was keep Torracats speed, not even increase it and it would've been a great pivot.

I try so much to enjoy these three as a line but they just feel so disconnected from each other.
Litten is a pretty normal house cat, something you would expect to, by Pokemon standards, to evolve into a sleek tiger or panther of some sorts.
Torracat looks more ferocious, wild and energetic, almost like something a evil team leader would have, especially with these eyes and the color scheme, however I think it looks too disconnected from Litten because of how bulky it looks compared to how sleek Litten is, also I hate how awkwardly the hindlegs are proportioned.
And Incineroar looks like a cartoony villain that can sometimes look badass and intimidating but just mostly is goofy and cocky, its personality pretty much shows that. But its color scheme and theme has absolutely nothing to do with Torracat and now its even less sleek than Torracat was.
These three are all pretty good designs on their own, I think they just don't work as a line...

Tier usage does depend on usage and viability, but there are also certain occasions where viability does not apply (in case people can bring their favoritism far and do something with it despite the pokemon possibly not being a strong contender). In this case, people probably preferred Torracat's speed or the strategy behind it (or what they exactly picked for it) and/or design more than Incineroar and what's manageable with him, despite his bulk and/or design. If it wasn't because of one, it was because of the other. People must've found Torracat easier to depend on due to its agility and mono-type where as with Incineroar, there's the added concern of having to take caution with anything that goes against Dark type as well despite having Dark type moves.

That's wrong. Viability and usage are completely separated things.

Usage is how often people on the ladder have a Pokemon on their team after a certain rating (depending on the tier), while viability is how much of an impact a Pokemon has in the metagame and basically what you should REALLY be taking in consideration when team building and playing at a higher level.

Torracat has seen more usage than Incineroar, meaning more people had it in their team than Incineroar, but the "viability" of both had nothing to do with that.

it's nice to have a base 90 speed Pokemon for in-game. It outspeeds most of Alola easily while having decent attack and defenses thanks to eviolite.

I don't really like "torracat" as a name. It's boring and it doesn't sound like its own word. I don't know how else I would have named the species tho. Any ideas for alternate names?
