My first shiny was a shiny poochyena in emerad, encountered in petalburg woods like 15 minutes into my game. Adamant nature, named him symba. I was only 13 so never checked the IV's. Was absolutely magical.

Lost the cartridge in a move, it's the only shiny I've ever encountered that I don't have on my sun cart right now.

My first was Registeel and I lost it forever ago. Second was the Odd Egg gave me a Tyrogue.

I would rather be a Minccino. That was my third Shiny, and is my favorite line period anyways.

I'm other news, just found a shiny Rattata while starting a Silver playthrough. This is my sixth shiny ever, been playing since gen 2 but my first shiny was likely that Linoone back in Sapphire.
Other than those I have a weavile (diamond), geodude (soulsilver), bellsprout (soulsilver) and a ralts (omega sapphire). All random wild encounters, never hunted for shinies.

Chinchou was my very first. got her through an egg, and still have her as a Lanturn today. Really hate the shiny skin on the 3D model, cause its not as pink as the sprites.

I managed to catch a Shiny Graveler back in Platinum, during my attempts to level grind in preparation for the Elite Four.
God, I hated how it was colored, but it was my first sighting of a shiny so I had to try.
I caught it fortunately before it could do anything stupid like use Explosion, but... I ended up resetting my game without saving him.
Even though I didn't like him, I still feel rather sad that I didn't take him with me.

Same here but it was a Bronzong. I'd never heard of shinies before, and when I saw it sparkle, I thought "oh, that must mean it's worth a lot of experience or something?" Because I didn't notice the color change.

Mine was a magikarp on the route right after mahagony town while I was fishing for remoraid. When I was 9 playing silver.

I have not encountered another one since. I've played every generation

Decided to try a Pokemon Y Nuzlocke. My Fennekin was shiny. No resets or anything. It survived the whole Nuzlocke and I still have it.

Still the only shiny I've ever gotten for myself.

Kind of like how the other day I entered Route 8 on my French copy of Moon and was like, "Would be funny if I just spent 50 hours breeding things and didn't get one, only to encounter one randomly on this playthrough at some point."

Then on the last spot of grass on Route 8 after collecting all the items in the northern section, Shiny Trumbeak appeared. Best part was while Sam has shit IVs I'll have to fix at Level 100, he actually turned out to be Rigide avec Multi-Coups AKA Adamant with Skill Link. All things considered, that's not bad.

It's so weird, for the longest time I thought he and shiny Linoone were pink but I guess they ended up translating into this golden orange. Still very pretty imo.

Since RSE had some mentions of space lore, I thought there was something really special with this Zigzagoon. I thought the shiny animation was a shooting star, so I caught him thinking he would bring me good luck.

The first shiny I ever got was a shiny roselia I found in pearl while training torterra. I think I was about 10 at the time and didn't even know shiny pokemon were a thing. It took me a long ass time to catch it too. I remember thinking how cool it looked with its sparkles and purple/black petals. Unfortunately its my pearl game got deleted by accident and now the only proof I ever owned one is my memories and a copy transfer on battle revolution.

Weirdest thing happened with me on the lake of rage in heart gold. I went there to get the guaranteed shiny gyarados and got about 10 tiles from him before I got in a battle with a random shiny gyarados. After catching that one I had to go and catch the event one.
