BW2 didnt start development until BW1 was released, Masuda said it himself
USM has the same amount of time they've made full games out of especially when you consider that they dont have to do a full story from scratch since this isnt a sequel

And only about 40% of the studio is working on USUM. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case for BW2.

People who think USUM will be the second comijng of BW2 are delusional.

I'm waiting to see what they'll actually change before getting hype. Hopefully the customization will be better.

They just confirmed in the GameInfromer interview that it;s over 50 people currently on USUM
They have a 120 person team
that includes people that are currently working o the Switch Game, Story/Art/etc. departments who are long since done with their parts of the job, people who work non Pokemon games such as Harmoknight etc.

The dev team for USUM is more than an adequate size, and probably the same if not more as usual for this time into development

On one hand I have my doubts about post gen 6 Gamefreak getting anywhere close to B2W2 contentwise as much as I want it to. On the OTHER hand, I so fucking want GF to prove a of us wrong, and watch the following shitstorm of denial that will follow the launch of a legitimately great set of games.

That feeling when the game actually turns out to have every feature we want but Game Freak is purposely trying to make it look bad, so they have an excuse not to put those features in.
