I ended up using Trash Cloak Wormadam in my very first Nuzlocke in X. Expected it to be exactly what the cloak implies, but it became my team's star defensive player. I don't have it anymore, but I love it to this day.

I was playing a Y Wonderlocke and got a Poochyena w/ Ice Fang from it. Not expecting much, he went to beat down a lot of tough trainers and the 2nd gym (thank god for Quick Feet).

Sadly, he died before Courmaline (but he would've kicked the gym leader's ass due to Ice Fang).

Motherfucking Linoone in every game it appears in. Easily one of the most versatile HM slaves in the game, and if you decide to actually invest in it, it has a great physical movepool and access to one of the best boosting moves in the game (plus Belly Drum is stupid easy to pull off during the story.) It's just such a solid pokemon all round.

Before SM came out, I transferred my old X team to my AS and started over, choosing Froakie instead of Fennekin and using mons I had never used, but wanted to use.

Gogoat was a huge surprise as was Pyroar, with the latter murdering everything once it got Hyper Voice, Flamethrower, and Dark Pulse. Also got lucky with the Hidden power and got Ice. Gogoat was surprisingly tanky despite being a grass type.

Wooper>Quagsire and Roggenrolla>Boldore>Gigalith have both been huge bros in past runs. Love them both a lot.

Wooper's my go-to water type, and I like Roggenrola's line so much more than Geodude's it isn't even funny

First time i ever bothered using an ice type was with alolan Ninetales and was thoroughly surprised. Thought she would have been fragile but actually was quite bulky.

Do spinoffs count? Because i used this thing in Sky's level 1 dungeons and was blown away. I wasn't expecting it to be good, but it turns out to be literal god tier. Managed to become a favorite over that.

I've loved pelipper ever since. I even used a male of the same name in my oras playthrough. I've transferred them both to sun and plan to breed them to create the ultimate lee.

Same here. This little cutie wormed her way onto my team by chance (also I lucked into finding a Modest one with Shield Dust), and then proceeded to almost solo all of Po Town and eat every Dragon-type she saw for breakfast.

I just caught it because it was cute. Went into SM with Mimikyu as my favorite of the gen, but that got changed. Helps that it's faster than basically everything in Alola

Agree with everyone on Ribombee, it's really good. I didn't even plan on catching it, but I ran into one while looking for Oricorio in Melemele Meadow and it just won me over.

Vivillon in X was also spur of the moment, and while it wasn't as versatile as Ribombee, it was definitely one of my more reliable team members.

Lilligant was the only one of these I actually planned on catching prior to playing the game, but it was a lot more useful than I expected it to be.

Just heal the damn thing, why pretend some autism shit by thinking the pokemon is actually dead because it fainted. If I permanently lost shit because of unlucky poison, burn or recoil, then I wouldnt even waste time on the fucking game.

A lot of Pokemon become my bros whenever I do a Nuzlocke. Crobat, Hippowdon, Granbull, Tentacruel and Ferrothorn, to name a few.
