anyone else tired of how luck based Pokemon is?

my first stab at it would be the sheer rush you get from a string of correct predictions and the win you get from a team you put a lot of time into

but does that really counterbalance the rage-inducing RNG? When your opponent lands 4 Focus Blasts in a Row but you miss a Hydro Pump?

For every time its screwed me over, it's probably helped me once as well. So it's hard for me to be mad, keeps the game exciting.

I guess I just have bad luck then. This shit is ALWAYS happening to me and almost never to my opponent:

>PAR'd for 3-5 turns IN A ROW
>Focus Miss, Stone Miss, even fucking Hydro Pump misses
>Can never get that clutch FRZ...but I get FRZ every 3 games or so

Idk anon. I guess some people just have better luck overall than others. I'm just tired of being the punching bag here. My win rate is only as high as it is because I am pretty skilled at predictions and it compensates a little. If my luck was better I wouldn't be whining.

Nah just pokemon. I play fighting games mostly, so a loss is generally whatever to me. Except for Pokemon because I'm almost always losing to bullshit instead of being outplayed.

Honestly, are any of you actually going to properly defend Pokemon's reliance on luck or are you just going to make personal attacks?

i think the luck based combat system works really well in game because it keeps the battles interesting, but it is pretty annoying in competitive.
since they're more focused on it being a really accessible game for kids, i think rng is here to stay. its not really that great of a competitive game.
