What are their Alola forms gonna look like, /vp/
>>33247768
Way too many lines to give Alola forms. They're doing 6-8 lines at most, potentially all from Gen 2 given the GSC VC release.
>>33247768
Like, really REALLY sexy
Would be interesting if the special move they get corresponds to what type they will be.
I'm imagining a Steel Totodile, Fighting Cyndaquil and Fairy Chikorita (type triangle).
Then things like a Fire/Poison Litwick, Dark Gothita, Ghost Solosis, Steel/Dragon Axew and Fighting Slakoth.
Some of those egg moves are nice to get without having to breed them in.
Probably the Gen 2 Pokémon if anything.
>>33247843
>fire/fighting Thyphlosion
Please....no....
>>33248044
How about just plain fighting?
>>33248051
What would the secondary type be?
>>33248131
Fire
>>33247793
>potentially all from Gen 2
They're not doing shit with megas or crossgen evos, so that's half of the dex gone
was there news confirming or implying the existence of new alolan forms in usum?
>>33247768
>implying gamefreak is going to make 63 new alolan forms
you're getting a few gen 2 alolan forms if you're lucky, that's it
>>33248213
Nope. At this point, I don't think we're getting any.
>>33248150
Not really?
There's still several Gen 2 Pokemon left, and before you say "But the starters were in SM already", keep in mind that USUM is a different universe from those games, so the starters could very well have adapted differently here. Pokemon that have pre-evos from other Gens don't really matter considering Raichu.

- Snubbull line
- Qwilfish

- Phanpy line

- Blissey
- Raikou/Entei/Suicune
- Lugia/Ho-Oh
- Celebi
I personally doubt the starters, Unown, and legends would receive one, though. Just included them otherwise it'd be incomplete. Umbreon/Espeon gaining a form would go against Eevee's whole thing with adapting.
Here we go.
Totodile Line: Water/ Fighting
Dark blue with tribal tattoos.
Deino Line: Grass/ Dragon
Grassy patches with coconuts for heads.
Horsea Line: Dragon/ Normal
Green with more leafy appendages.
Klink Line: Rock/ Ground
Asteroids gravitating around each other.
Chikorita Line: Grass/ Fairy
Pink with grassy ribbons.
Litwick Line: Fire/ Grass
Tiki torch that evolves into tiki lanturns.
Cyndaquil Line: Fire/ Ground
Literally becomes more volcano like the pokedex says for Typhlosion.
Swinub Line: Pineapples
Duosion and Up: Psychic/ Fire
Embodies itself with molten hot MAGMA.
Roselia and up: Poison/ Fairy
Mischievous hula dancer.
Staravia and up: Flying/ Normal
I honestly don't know for this one...
Vigoroth and up: Normal/ Fighting
Wrestling type that evolves into sumo because why not...
Axew Line: Dragon/ Steel
Flaming sword dragon dude
Rhyhorn Line: Fire
More volcanoes.
Spheal Line: Water/ Fairy
Slimmed down due to high temp water and no need for blubber and also pink.
Luxio and up: Electric/ Dark
Edgy black yellow ugly trash for the furries. Maybe make them bipedal.
Honedge Line: Ghost/ Grass
Wooden tiki sword.
Venipede and up: Bug/ Fire
Fire slugs with tiny stumpy legs
Bellsprout and up: Grass/ Poison
Venus fly trap with sharp teeth
Marill and up: Fairy/ Electric
Gothita Line: Psychic/ Grass
Cutie hula dancer
Conkledurr: Dark/ Fighting
Weight lifting champ

Surfboard
Leavanny: Bug/ Fighting
Mantis that knows karate
Serperior: Grass/ Fairy
Snake with hibiscus and bananas.
Samurott: Water/ Ice
Uses ice sword or something. More fluffy
Emboar: Fire/ Dark
Looks like big brutish biker gang leader.
Eelektross: Water/ Flying
Flying fish eel

>Pokemon that have pre-evos from other Gens don't really matter considering Raichu.
Raichu is related to the game's mascot and the line always gets special treatment.
>>33248427
>listing legendaries
No chance of this happening. Starters getting Alola forms is pretty unlikely as well.
>>33247768
The Johto starters are getting Alola forms (only for their final forms however), while the Unova starters are getting Mega Evolutions.
These are their types:
>Meganium: Grass/Psychic
>Typhlosion: Fire/Fighting
>Feraligatr: Water/Dark
>Mega Serperior: Grass/Dragon
>Mega Emboar: Fire/Fighting
>Mega Samurott: Water/Steel
>>33248719
>Has the ability to use any kind of typing
>Fire/ Fighting
Oh shit you really are from GameFreak!
>>33248701
I wouldn't say it's because the line always gets special treatment as Raichu itself tends to be ignored. If we're including just popularity, then Wobbuffet is a pretty popular Pokemon.
And did you even read what I said about the legendaries? I doubt it'll happen, but we never know.
>>33247768
None of those fuckers are getting Alolan forms. They're already in the fucking game. Pokemon getting Alolan forms would have not been available in SM.
>>33247768
>>33247843
I like the idea of the Island Scan Pokemon being a sneaky hint at who gets Alolan Forms. Also the move thing is kinda neat, and tingles my inner autism. Going down the list and coming up with Alolan Forms for all of the ones that do this because I have 5 minutes to kill.
>Totodile line - Water/Steel
still a fairly unique typing, could be based on bear traps or "steel jaws"
>Litwick - Poison/Ghost or Poison/Fire
tiki torches
>Cyndaquil line - Fire/Fighting
it would suck to have yet another, but it has been two generations since getting one so it's kind of "new" again. My vote is still for Fire/Ghost though...
>Gothita line - Psychic/Dark
even more goth? or they could do something with tattoo art
>Solosis line - Psychic/Ghost
more homunculus, less cell
>Slakoth line - Fighting
have more "energy" in Alola, they become restless all the way through... Slaking loses Truant
>Axew line - Dragon/Steel
outside of legends, this is a unique typing and it makes sense for this line
>Rhyhorn line - Ground/Normal or Rock/Normal
both are stupid type combos, but maybe the Rhyhorn line is less "craggy" on Alola and becomes a pygmy rhinoceros line?
>Togepi line - Psychic
lose the Fairy-typing altogether to focus on psychic powers, they could be more "galactic" themed
>Sewaddle line - Bug/Normal
no longer using leaves for cover, maybe bits of trash or actual cloth instead?
>Snivy line - Grass/Normal
I know Glare is just a move that makes sense on Serperior, but it would be weird and kind of cool to see this typing
And.. that's it. All other moves either match the Pokemon or its evolutions typings.
>>33248645
If anything, I would hate to see the Feraligatr line just become another Fighting type starter trio if only because they're big and bulky. It's a meme I want to die.
The best Johto Alola Forms I've seen are still:
>Grass/Fairy
>Fire/Ghost
>Water/Ice
Though Water/Steel for Totodile line is cool as hell too. And if they made the Typhlosion line Fire/Fighting and Cyndaquil Grass/Fairy in tandem, it would create a nice backwards type triangle where each starter can defeat the one stronger against with its second STAB.
Also, for the Unova starters, it HAS to the be type combinations from Blaze Black/Volt White:
>Grass/Dragon
>Fire/Ground
>Water/Fighting
There is no other way.
>>33247843
Nah. Fighting/Water sounds a lot better for Alolan-Gatr and Fire/Steel for Alolan-Phlosion.
