Just do a Kalos except instead of secondary Kanto starters you get a Riolu, Pikachu or Charmander. Just do it Gamefreak. Get it over with.

Yes, make it so you can get conditional strong-mon's early's a good bonus(the lvl 9 salamence you can get in S&M's a step in the right direction, especially if you finish the second island off with your mid 20s then go back to melemele,catch it and have a 600bst pokemon before lvl 30)

Early Game steel types are a god send,especially since the bad guy teams tend to be flooded with poison/dark/normal types
