That's not quite it, but you're in the right way, try to imitate the "double shadow" like line that they always use, also sugimori adds some material/texture to the drawing.

i'd also recomend not using very dark colors.

the lineart brush is mine, from paint tool sai.
the double shadow-like line you draw one layer of shadow, reduce the opacity to like 60-80, then paint another layer of shadow over it but a few pixels below, to create that gradient-like line.
