Same. Part of me wants to start another save w/ all pokemon randomized (as opposed to just opposing trainers) to get some better team options. Gen IV has some great poison types, but I forgot how thinly spread they are.

Playing Vega for the first time. It's been pretty fun so far, but the large amount of back-tracking and the really bad town design is off-putting. But the Vega-mons make up for it. Still can't settle on a full team and I'm trying to use Vega-mons only.

I had a Nidoking earlier, but it died from an Explosion and I had to quickly replace it with Lucario. I really do enjoy Randomized playthroughs, because it lets me discover new Pokemon I might like that I never paid much attention to before.

In Silver right now, I have a Croconaw. The rest of my team is inconsequential because they're all level 4-5 while Croconaw is level 20 before I've even reached Bugsy. If I weren't playing on VC, I'd be able to grind to strengthen my other mons, but I adamantly refuse to waste that much time.

In Nova Sun, I have Croagunk, Espurr, Torracat, Marshtomp, Klink, and an Ash Pikachu that I'm about to swap out for something else. Haven't decided yet.

Doing a storm silver playthrough with a bunch of shit mons. I just reached the national park and need to adjust the time to daytime hours so I can catch a sunken. I don't plan on using spearow, I just forgot to remove it from my party after obtaining it from the gate guard.

Am I the only one who rotates between dozens of pokemon in a playthrough? Trying to get a lot of mileage out of this. Burgh is a bitch to be beat in BB/VW2. Caught a Drilbur, but its only STAB move is Dig atm.

I rarely do that. I tend to plan my teams ahead of time, but if I'm playing a new game or a randomizer where I don't know what is available I'll change Pokemon for something I decide to use spur of the moment.

I normally make a team as I go along, that team eventually gets overleveled, I ditch everything except maybe my starter and start a new team, rinse wash and repeat until I hit the elite 4, meanwhile breeding weird moves onto pokemon (my breedfag taste demands I breed weird shit onto as many pokemon as possible, so I hunt for ones that can learn weird moves). So in that sense yeah I rotate through. I do reintroduce pokemon from past teams. The recent games, even if you avoid as many trainers as possible, you still end up overleveled at some point, so I find it hard not to rotate a bit. Always nice to go into a dungeon underleveled and try to survive it. Not that Alola had any.

Currently running platinum. Post second gym with just a level 36 golbat.
going to get a vaporeon next.
any cool mon suggestions? Im thinking porygon 2 and weavile but idk yet.

Usually I'll try to plan my teams out (F/G/W core, all dual type, no repeated types, 50/50 split on special coverage and physical coverage) ahead of time, so substitutions stop being a thing unless I'm doing a total overhaul.
The Sage demo was the first itme in a while that I had a constantly changing team.

Playing pokemon naturia, everything doesn't make any sense, the new abilities are so confusing and overpowered, falkner was pure hell, and now I'm at bugsy and my pokemon won't obey me. It almost looks like that mexican that created this was too busy to actually check if his game was playable, and the fact the documentation is literally nowhere to be fpund doesn't help. Why isn't my froakie evolving, for example?
