So like is this a new category of Mythical Pokemon now? Where they share the same pokedex number as regular mons so they can be used in the battle tree and other facilities.
Like Ash-Gren I imagine this will be in the undiscovered egg group, the rockruff it evolves from will no doubt be different too.

Gen 7 is the gen 5 of the 3DS era.
Gens 4/6 are Angelina and 5/7 are Jennifer without Friends money.

It just means you actually have to evolve it instead of catching it in the wild like the base forms

It could just be a special Rockruff that only evolves into Dusk. It could easily be a in game gift mon. But with Gamefreak i could also see it being an event mon.

I was thinking and this doesn't necessarily it's an event mon. I could see it being only be able evolve in a certain area like Magnezone or Leafeon
and there could also be the option of it being a special item evolution like a Ultra Dusk Stone or something.

It have to evolve in a specific location. I don't see the problem here.

It's either gonna be a new unique evolution method such as location-based, or it'll have something to do with the Box Legends + Necrozma.

In the PGL data, its placeholder was "745 (form 4)", while the first two forms were "745-01" and "745-02". Every other alternate form in the game followed the "____-0X" naming convention.

That makes me think it's an Ash-Greninja deal, where it shares a Pokedex number with the normal Pokemon, but it's still considered to be a separate Pokemon rather than an alternate form.
