Banette was actually one of those Gen III mons I actually liked better with the sprite. Later gens kinda disappointed me with its look.

Banette seemed to look worse and worse as the gens went on. It's so bland now in Gen VI

Bottom looks way too clean for what it's supposed to be: a beaten up pathetic doll.

Top looks like it's got all the stuffing settled into the bottom, which is just better because that's what happens with old toys.

I know that now, but you can't tell me that backsprite doesn't look like a diaper. That's what 7 year old me saw, and it still looks like that. The bit of blue on the white looks like one of its legs sticking out. Not to mention the caveman pattern comes out of nowhere, and goes nowhere.

how good is banette/mega banette in competitive now? It's one of my favourite mons, but i remember it being not that good. Strong physical ghost move when?

mega banette is pretty bad. i wish they had made it dark/ghost for the sucker punch and knock off stab, so it can actually use its good attack stat
