Granted. In about 20 years when man has fully unlocked the genome, scientists will genetically modify animals to breathe fire, shoot electricity, etc.

They'll be nicknamed Pokemon, but due to copyright laws, we'll never get a genetically modified creature that looks like an existing mon.

Pokeballs are already real in the form of nonfunctioning toys.
