Gimmicks are fun.
I'm happy for them to hold off on new Megas, but I think Z-moves and regional forms should stick around.

A new gimmick (eg fusion- pic related- where only starters, Pikachu and legends can do it) would be alright, plus a (small) amount of regional variants, just so older Pokemon aren't completely shafted.

My biggest problem with Game Freak is that they do get genuinely good ideas, then suddenly they nix them in the very next game
megas were great, but suddenly there are no more new ones in sun and moon (inb4 lore reasons)
I cant help but expect Z moves and regional variants to get nixed in the next gen.

Alola forms are pretty good. They give relevance to otherwise-garbage mons.

cant imagine a gimmick they'd do now, probably add a ride pokemon that uses rockclimb. But i do want to see Leaf working at the battle tree.
i doubt GF would be adding any new pokemon in the same and i doubt megas will be coming back any time soon.

I'm not a big fan of Megas. Z-moves could be better and more useful.
I hope they'll keep doing regional variants, it's a really cool idea. I want Sinnoh regional variants for G4 remakes.
