I hope you're not trying to back up your point by using fan art. Kalos is far and away the worst region. Even if it did have some cool areas like Parfum Palace and Laverre City, the majority of the areas are bland as shit, and Laverre City is ruined by the fact that it has a fucking industrial facility right next to it.

Pokemon has always taken place is an alternate world where society is near-utopic and in general not a shitty place to live unlike in the real world.

Their equivalent to NYC differs from ours in the sense that 85% of the city isn't a total fucking slum and the other 15% is the only part you ever see in movies and shows because it's the only part that's decent.

Especially the whole autum/winter section lategame. Laverre/Dendemille/Anistar/Couriway/Snowbelle is god tier.

I like how each section of Kalos (Central, Coastal, Mountain) had a specific architectural style for the houses, that stayed consistent throughout their respective region. Kalos really is as comfy as the franchise has gotten.

Kalos is my favourite region, it's comfy and beautiful as fuck, the protags were great, it had the best regional Dex of all time and best main legendaries

could have been better with an addition of south kalos with more rural places

like a pokemon Z, with bigger map, more customs, some way to have your own house like secret base

and that's it, you had the best game entry

Western/Central Europe is usually the normal setting for fairytales so lots of people have idealized perceptions about the regions. GF just merged those perceptions with the already quaint aesthetics of the French countryside to create a stunning visually engaging setting.
