Now I need one of you brand loyalists pick apart my post, and explain to me why none of these flaws are the franchise's fault and why I should be mad at Game Freak & TPCi instead.

Moving to this trash underpowered 3ds really exposed a ton of flaws. Hopefully switch games are better with power to use

Imagine: we have an entire board for a single separate entity. Take a look around, no other franchise, ideology or specific topic have their own board. Look at /vg/ and laugh at their miserable attempts to save their beloved game generals, some even huddling together for survival.

I just wish Nintendo bestowed upon us a game on a powerful, highly detailed engine like Frostbite!

You were once a human but you've been turned into a Pokemon and transported to a world where humans either don't exist or are long gone.
There's a cataclysmic event unfolding and you & your partner must stop it.
There is a recurring character who appears to be an antagonist but is eventually revealed that he was trying to stop the event or he was simply training you to stop it yourself because you were sent to stop the event. He sacrifices himself so you and your partner can grow even stronger to defeat the true villain of the game.

That's Rescue Team, Explorers, and Gates to a T. I'll admit I didn't play Super, or that spinoff that used the Rumble models (assuming it ever even got localized).

Now point out the barely-relevant plot differences between each game, you fucking tool.
