In the Japanese text files, it gives her name as ラナ (Lana), not to be confused with English Lana, who is called スイレン (Suiren) in Japanese. But because it's only seen internally and in the Japanese files, she's just called Moon by everyone, while the male protagonist is called Sun. He's referred to as カイ (Kai) in the Japanese text files.

It sure would be nice to get confirmed Japanese names though.
Same goes for Silver, Kris, and Blue/Leaf, whose names simply come from the top default name rather than being confirmed through a single internal name or through merchandise.

ヒビキ (Hibiki; Ethan) only existed as a default name beginning with HGSS, and everyone called him ゴールド (Gold) before that, in the same vein as Red. That's why the Johto rival is called シルバー (Silver), as it fits the naming scheme of the rival from Generation I. But now that the protagonist is no longer Gold, wouldn't the rival no longer be Silver? And Red and Green were referred to as サトシ (Satoshi; Ash) and シゲル (Shigeru; Gary) early on, which might mean that the protagonist and rival of Gold and Silver had their second default names planned in the same way. That would make the Gen II protagonist ヒロキ (Hiroki; Hiro) and rival カモン (Kamon).

It would be interesting if they made a figure of his Generation II appearance with a different name.
