When the Pokémon enter the PC system it really doesn't make sense from an in-game lore standpoint that the ball data is stored with them directly. You should be able to change them at will inside the PC system.

I don't play competitive but I try to wondertrade when I breed pokemon with egg moves or something so I prefer they be legitimate in that sense. Hate the idea of a kid running around with something that would raise a flag for being hacked. I also don't have a time machine so a lot of the starters in pokeballs require dream world which is shut down.

I always thought you should be able to change their pokeball with another one you own, and the original is lost, but the ball the mon was actually caught in still shows up on their summary page. That way you'd be able to swap balls around for style, but there would still be a record of how you really caught it.

Pretty sure you're baiting me at this point but just in case you're not, let me explain:
Beast ball divides the catch rate for any normal, non ultra beast Pokemon by 10. You can catch beldum in a pokeball, so catching a beldum in a beast ball is just 10x less likely, but still possible.
Heavy ball works on an addition/subtraction basis rather than division/multiplication basis, making it the only ball for which the catch rate can possibly go below 0, thus rendering beldum and the tapus uncatchable by heavy ball.
