Ash will never win, he's going to dump everyone except Pikachu every single region, every single character is pointless because we'll never see them after the region they debut in aside from the semi-occasional one-off special regardless of how much development they see, and there will always, and I mean ALWAYS been an asspull at the Pokemon League because the executives for some reason believe winning the League Tournament, which simply grants you the CHANCE to battle the E4 and Champion, will mark the end of the entire series despite entirely new continents showing up every few days/weeks in PokeWorld Time considering it seriously hasn't been a year ever since Ash left home to begin his journey and them preventing an "end of series" scenario by making his dream to be Pokemon Master, which SPECIFICALLY remains vague and lacking in detail to ensure NOTHING he does will ever allow him to achieve this impossible goal.

Actually, I'd argue it started dipping during Johto when the executives stopped giving the writers so much leeway once the GS Ball Fiasco happened.
After that things started to get toned down and there wasn't as much room for shenanigans aside from the rare filler episode, and things were mostly played safe more and more.
Even Alola is relatively by the books for a setting without Gyms, the only difference is there's more wacky faces and exaggerated reactions to things happening.

The more we scroll down this thread the more insults is thrown out and we pretty much got no where to talk about. Negativity is the only thing going and that's that. Let's face reality, the anime being off-topic, /vp/ee[/spoiler] has gotton a lot more worse in the SM era. Compare to the XY era, old /vp/ has somewhat decent threads such as that Octillia that killed himself and we tried to help his friends on who commited, nowadays it's just a lot of shit threads and stealth pokephilia threads which is literally the only thing I bother coming here, the rest is just bad and bland.
