I have a question for the mathematicians,

I've been curious for some time. where's the cut off for when higher level/cp mons become better choices than lower cp/level super effective mons in raids

Let's use someone like Alakazam forget about number of attackers and just from a DPS stand point.

I'll use my squad as an example.

If i use:
~3.6k Dark/Dark TTar
~2.4k Dark/Dark Houndoom
~3.4k Dragonite
~3.2 Dragonite
~3.16k level 40 vaporeon

who's doing the most damage? is my 3.4k non-SE dragonite doing more DPS than the 2.4k SE houndoom?

is there maths for this?

or say with venusaur is a level 28 charizard dealing more dps than a double dragon dragonite a 1000 cp higher?

for ttar, regardless, of vaporeons, after my first 2.7k machamp, my second highest is 2k cp.

ie
4 x level 20 machamps better than 4 x level 35 dragonites in terms of dps? what if wasn't SE^2 and just SE (replace machamps with vapes)

im sure lots of you guys have this problem as you don't have 6 ideal AND high level attackers for ech raid boss

So for the 5 of us who still care about gyms, what team currently mostly had control of your town/city/village/shithole's gyms? Mainly have valor lads here in our gyms, but have a certain group of yellow fags trying to take over shit daily and failing.

I tried Poke Assistant, returned no such IV combinations, even thoughI checked the right boxes.

because the way niantic calculates the graphics is that EVERYTHING is constantly rendered and all sub-screens (capture, gyms, menus, etc.) is rendered on top of the basic game-world. I honestly believe niantic is partnered with the phone companies to provide the worst and most unplayable experience they can in order to force people into buying new phones. There is no other explanation for this. I mean hell, they had to turn off the lure petals at pokego fest, they clearly know it's an issue, but refuse to actually fix the underlying problem.

I'm an autist about this kind of bullshit.

I finally found a Porygon. Hatched it from a 10km egg.
And for some reason I got a fuckload of candies. Is that because of the event or something? I've never received nearly that many candies from an egg. Seems pretty crazy.

Without doing any maths, I think the problem is that the lower level super effective mons can't survive long enough to put out enough DPS by comparison to the higher neutral ones.

Yes. I use one and when sitting at work I get a little GPS drift that gives me a few KM each day.
But then there's also working on top of a couple of Poké Stops and spawns that gives me a healthy supply of items, XP, evolution fodder and stardust.

I've had mine just crash when it was trying to send me a notification about one of my defenders needing a berry.

One of the other weird things is that you can't access the gym battle if you are switching between apps. I used to use my IV app to see what mons have what moves, so I'd switch back and forth between the IV and pogo. I can't do that now.

Tons of other weird stuff, like the viewscreen in the back of the gyms taking up the whole background when you tap on a defender.

Found something cute today, I was going to a gym and on the way there noticed someone had taken it. When I get there I find a couple with their phones out, I greet them because my town is dead as fuck and I want people to raid with.They explained the guy is Mystic and the girl is Valor, so they take turns controlling this gym after their pokemon hit 8 hours defending it. Funny thing is since my town is dead as fuck it actually works for them.
