I've always wanted to work on a hack since I play so many of them, but I'm not yet confident in my spriting skills. Would story/character writing and editing be at all helpful?

I'm not an Idea guy. It's jsut that programming is not the part where i am competent. I can write down music in MIDI, i can do sprites, maps.
Pretty sure the point of a Team is to have people compensate when i lack the compence
