What I'm hearing you say is that you popped it to not only evolve less than 80 Pokemon, but that you planned to waste Lucky Egg time farming shitmons.

Has anything changed for the raid battles? Is not being a shitter simply being able to attack and dodge, while using mons that are strong against the raid boss' type?

I had a pretty great day. Played for a bit over 4 hours downtown, lots of pokestops there. Loads of pokemon, I probably hatched around 50 eggs, fought 3 Articunos (but sadly managed to catch none) and interacted with tons of players, ranging from kids to parents to turbo autists.

Game hasn't been as alive since launch, I had a bretty good time.

Every evo you do instead of catching effectively adds +2 (and a little extra) to the initial 60 count. You're never going to get close to 160k xp no matter how many evos you sprinkle into the lure session.

Alright so the current raid system is dumb because you have a whopping 2 hours to gather people for a raid (not much worse than before, but at least you actually had some warning before a boss appeared), but at the same time, I don't think a level 1 raid needs 2 hour's notice either. I reckon they should put every raid boss in an egg to begin with, but have the egg take longer to hatch as its level increases. Something like:
- Level 1 - 15 minutes
- Level 2 - 30 minutes
- Level 3 - 1 hour
- Level 4 - 3 hours
- Level 5 - 48 hours
That might be a bit better if they nerfed legendary raid rates, otherwise everywhere would get flooded with their eggs really quickly.
