also, is it odd that Scyther got an evo back in gen 2 but not Pinsir? I always thought it was a missed opportunity for the new types added. Give Scyther the steel evo with Scizor and give Pinsir one with dark typing added. Or just retcon pinsir to Bug/Dark. I dunno. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Most experiences i've had with bugmons have gone like this

since spinarak was on route 1 in sm, and ariados was buffed in gen 7, its an ok psychic and dark killer with the early leech life tm, shadow sneak at level 19, and sucker punch at level 28. poison jab a little later on makes it a good fairy killer. not to mention spinarak learns swords dance at any level you decide to evolve it.
