I hate all the starters this gen, and I rarely talk about them in these threads, but Incineroar's janky proportions and build would make standing/walking on all fours intensely painful for it. Hell, standing upright looks hard enough for it as is. It would also be awkward, ridiculous looking af, and possibly scary.

Which fire dargon do youse guise like better? I tend to use X in singles and Y in doubles, though I've had gr8 success using zard Y with flame charge in singles before. Those faggot ass Greninjas can't do shit at +1 speed in sun

it's a little complicated, but the main gist of it is that volc is really good. Everyone runs >100 speed scarfer, typically with a rock move, to outpace it after it quiver dances once, which also stops zard x. Aside from that, you've got things like fini (who's fallen off for a while, but is starting to make a resurgence) and mega ttar (who's fat as shit and really good right now because of it) who also stop it. You could run thunderpunch for fini, but then you get worn down too easily. Zard y is good because it can just come in once and either OHKO or put a huge dent in anything not named toxapex.

It's the most threatening setup sweeper in the tier. Literally every team needs a volc check, and half of those checks only check certain sets. I mentioned toxapex, but it falls over to z psychic. Zygarde checks the standard sets, but you can run hp ice over hp ground. Ttar checks most sets, but z bug buzz is getting more popular. And, of course, if you're sick of being revenged by the >100 speed scarfers with rock moves, you can run charti, set up to +2 in their faces, and win. It's stupid good. Talonflame might not have been able to push it to BL, just because of z moves.

Infernape has been my favourite since I got into the series. I just love its design and what's it's based on. It also helps that he was one of the best aces ash ever had in the anime.

I plan on breeding one for the upcoming switch game when it connects to pokébank.

Aside form Chamrander and Chimchar, I always end up liking the base forms of Fire-type starters the best. Don't get me wrong,
I still like Delphox and Emboar and all those guys but the base forms appeal more to me for fire types for some reason.
