/vp/ is illiterate. Completely and terribly illiterate. I don't mean spelling something incorrectly here or there, or not knowing a quadrisyllabic word. I mean that this board, centered around a game that touts itself as helping young children read, cannot even spell the names of the majority of the monsters that are its subject. People will spell names of Pokémon and characters incorrectly on a regular basis, and be unable to comprehend even slightly more advanced sentence structures. This board is filled with people whose intelligence, when measured on a metric of the ability to read and comprehend written language, would be far below the average in any first world country, and arguably 4chan as a whole. Why is this? Is the absurd nature of the Pokémon series affecting your ability to read? Perhaps because Pokémon attracts autists (colloquial jargon so adequate in this situation,) we have people who spend more time memorizing charts than how to properly read them. However, people with autism actually typically score higher on IQ tests and reading comprehension tests, so it doesn't make much sense to label that as the reason. I'm completely astounded by the collective lack of knowledge that this board displays.

Electivire has a problem that he can't kill anything. His strongest STAB is 90 base power, his coverage moves are at the 70 range and his speed is just short. GF He's kinda like Flareon. They should just give him something like Volt Tackle for example. It was used in DPPt because of GyaraVire combination, but since Gen 5 introduced team preview, any team with both those mons was very predictable, no one would fall for it anymore, so it fell in disuse.

What pisses me off is that GF makes amazing decisions such as Mega Pidgeot, Beedrill, Sceptile, Slowbro and Banette, giving weaker Pokémon a chance to fight, but then fucks it all up by making Mega Salamence, Garchomp, Lucario, Mewtwo etc. giving Megas based on pure fanservice rather than balance.

Then Gen 7 rolls around and they decide it's good to introduce ridiculously min-maxed UBs and the amazing Tapus, making even more older pokémon obsolete, such as Heracross for example, who is completely outclassed by Buzzwhole.

And don't get me started on Z-Moves, yes, they are great for some Pokémon who lack power, but the good Pokémon can use them too, so, unless it's some kinda of niche (Z-Conversion) or exclusive Z-Move, it doens't balance anything.

Electivire always sucked. Its bulk was no different from Weaviles, except it's speed tier was also bad(I guess with the lack of team preview it was easy to bait an Electric attack). Compounded with your best physical STAB being fucking Thunderpunch(before Gen 5), and your only boosting move being Mediate it's questionable to use it as a sweeper when you had options like Infernape.

Do you even know what a Pokémon is? Yes, it's hard to fit Pikachu in a team, but he's the best Pokémon and he's defeated Team Rocket literally hundreds of times.
