How much do you guys actually care about shinies? The autism for them just seems crazy to me. Some look cool but most are just ugly as fuck and people slave hours for them.
Not at all. I don't see the appeal.
I got three shines this year without even trying.
I just want the ones I think look good on Pokemon I like. Beyond those, I couldn't really care less.
You have to remember that Pokemon is one of the most autistic video games ever made. The primary motivation to many and the original tag line is "gotta catch em all". Why should it be a surprise that super autists would devote so much time to what is basically dex completion hard mode.
I'm not too interested in most, but I'm happy as long as other people can enjoy them. The Shinies I enjoy the most are the ones everyone calls ugly.
Something to do I guess when you've caught 'em all.

YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU'VE COMPLETED A LIVING SHINIES DEX

I started MMing for the ones I liked the moment we heard about bottle caps. Was always afraid of getting that imperfect speed IV on an offensive mon. Got most of the ones I care about, but sometimes it's pretty draining. Still haven't started on green shelled blastoise or Bling K. Rookodile, the latter because I'm not sure if I want to go jolly with standard good egg moves like pursuit, fire fang, and counter, or a meme set adamant z me first/z snatch with eq, bulk up, and power trip.

Ehh, they lost the appeal once they became so laughably easy to get

Shinies were a mistake
