Steven, Cynthia, and Alder are high tier as they're present constantly in the story and engage the player in unique, interesting ways, although Cynthia's probably the lowest of them all because she kind of copy Steven's role without adding all that much to it

Diantha is the worst story and gameplay wise

Worst is probably Diantha. Adler is a close second. Diantha may be cute, but she was a garbage battle with no story presence.
