It's a waste of gas when used for a game intended to make people go out and move, not just simply travelling from point A to B. We live in a time when we're encouraged to not take the car and instead bike or walk if it's a short distance, so seeing people use cars to play a game is just saddening.

Save money, lose some fat, and stop being even more of a burden on the environment by take the bike or your feet. If the only enjoyment you get from this game is taking gyms and raids but don't take the opportunity to go out and walk more, then go play other games that don't entice you to drive to a place for digital rewards.

Bullet Punch/X-Scissor is the best set overall. What you have there is still a solid offense but a rather weak defense, though that really won't matter since anyone who battles it will most likely use a fire type against it.

As long as you use that to battle gyms rather than defend them, you'll be fine.

I'm a Pittsburgh Instinct walker. Most of the closed off after-hours areas are Instinct but they're obviously spoofers and the town is basically Mystic and Valor spoofers dominating the map like everywhere else.

There are more ACTIVE Instinct players probably, but not much stable gyms / dominated areas anymore. Also a lot of supposed Instinct players (especially the lower level ones) are just alts for Mystic and Valor fags. It's not the Instinct paradise you make it out to be.

Also to expand on this, there were definitely a lot more stable Instinct gyms around winter and early spring but Instinct participation has been steadily dropping over the months.

Most of the cemetaries and closed off parks used to have stable Instinct gyms because most of them are spoofers who build the gym after hours and some neighbourhoods were Instinct dominated purely because they were away from most of the population while the Mystic and Valor college students dominated the college campuses and downtown areas.

But now with the gym rework, most of the formerly stable Instinct gyms are gone, and Valor and Mystic spoofers have started to show up and burn down all the Instinct gyms regularly again. Most college campuses are always blue for various reasons, the Jew controlled areas are usually Mystic dominated except for the gyms near where the Indian students usually congregate, and a lot of the northeast is Valor dominated with the exception of Highland Park that is just spoofer dominated.

And the worst part of the rework is that I can't really tell which areas have real Instinct presence anymore because of spoofers and multi-accounters regularly cleaning out gyms because they want their coins.

And sports teams are always a big reason people pick a team in PoGo. The yuros here can tell you about how their neighbourhoods are always dominated by a particular colour that matches the local sports clubs' teams.

That makes me happy that when you think of best second form mons you think of Muk and the hardest ice hitter Cloyster

Regardless of the fact that Cloyster actually has an evolution - and not counting eeveelutions, there's also Kingler which gets huge, Scizor, Porygon2, and for a while last summer Slowbro was a great defender. Also of course Arcanine and Exeggutor to name the missing bigboys Houndoom is good too.

Besides an umbrella, or if you're running out to catch a mon and can bring it to catch in shelter - take phone out, tap it, MINIMIZE GAME or water and your pocket will cause your phone to close every app and open all the rest, yeah there are a few tricks

I used to trackerfag hard and would run out to catch shit regardless of weather. If it was a big boy like dnite I'd bring it home but ofther there would be one of two cases where leaving its spawn point wasn't an option: a) I'd also be catching it for my gf (either had her phone or would sign in) and b) where there were multiple rares to be caught

If this is summer rain and you don't have an umbrella idk then but what id do in the fall/winter was wear a pair or two of gloves if it was raining

I have a waterproof galaxy s7 so all i cared about was being about prevent the raid from interacting with screen/phone and my attempt to catch it

If your hands are wet and you cant dry them well, youre fucked and looking at a knuckle straightball if it's far like a drago.

On galaxys you can use game tools to 'lock' the return and open apps buttons in Pokemon so when you dry it off you dont close the game.

I usually would have an umbrella and my backpack. I've taken out a towel to wipe off my phone while catching a muk/drago in the pouring rain looking like an idiot many times.

Have a ton of ultras, if your screen is wet uptop and you toss the ball it will often either get stuck in place, drop or fly right. I've wasted over 100 ultras tryna catch a dragonite when i didnt have an umbrella in the rain because my screen was so wet i could hardly hit it let alone time it

When I went for a Muk in March i wore two gloves and took off both pairs on my right hand and wiped the screen off with a towel and i was able to hit it like normal

tldr, seek shelter if you cant bring it

Been talking with a few others going to the event, they seem to have heard through the grapevine;

I need someone to explain this dumb fucking bird to me.
They spawn everywhere in my town and somehow THEY RESIST BALLS LIKE FUCK.
All my best pokemon are uncommon 300-350cp spawns that took no more than 2 throws each. Damn near every single one of these black feathered fuckers resist the first throw. Yes even the 90cp ones.
The only pokemon to ever completely run away from me was a 200cp crow that resisted FOUR berried throws.
It's ONLY this fucker that does this. Why?

i wouldn't say that the meta is broken. it's just different from what it was before. it's no longer about having pokemon who are the best at defending or fighting common defenders or prestiging efficiently. now the "best" pokemon are the ones best at fighting the current raid bosses (especially the *** ones, since they are potentially solo-able, if you have a good team for it). and this will likely be kept fresh by having rotating raid bosses (which i believe they are prepared to do)

i actually have a 92% ttar with bite/SE and i kind of wish it was bite/crunch. i prefer quick and charge moves of the same type so i can select attackers to best counter defenders. you have a perfect espeon killer and a great alakazam killer (assuming it lacks focus blast) there. i mean, what am i gonna use bite/SE against? psychics? bite/crunch is better for that. flying and/or fire types? i have a Golem with rock/rock that might (admittedly, haven't done the math) be better for that.

This I changed my tyranitar from crunch to stone edge. I have enough pure dark (umbreon, devil doggo, feralogatr) type sets but a tyranitar with se is going to be invaluable against zapdos. The only legendary that I think will be tough to beat desu.
