Butterfree leaving is not even remotely sad, and yet all of these people treat it as if it's so heartbreaking and beautiful and whatever.
Have you guys even read an actually sad story in your life?

Has son of dob killed himself yet? What is he even doing for a living nowadays?

If you weren't an autist, you'd understand.
It's a sad story about a franchise we already like. Plus, it's a sad story a lot of us experienced as children or young teenagers. Of course it's going to hit deeper than any other sad story out there. It's hard to make an adult cry, it's easy to make children do so.

I don't know who I want to see dead more, PurpleKecleon or Dobson.

Point taken. I never been through any loss or parting as a kid, so I just can't cry at stuff like this because of it.

Imagine being so fat you look at Pokemon and see food
It was kind of sad but I can't imagine anyone really missing Butterfree, it was one of Ash's absolute weakest Pokémon and barely ever contributed anything. It had to go.
The one I don't get is people who were upset at Pikachu's Goodbye, as if it was even the remotest possibility that episode would end with Pikachu not by Ash's side.
