Alright real talk I'm legitimately pissed off though. Machamp was having higher usage with the likes of Pangoro and he shared UU with Heracross and Chesnaught towards the end of Gen 6. How are they at least RU and Machamp is now NU? Surely it's not just confusion nerf? WTF does GF really want to do with Machamp anyway? They always feature and make him poster boy but they do him so dirty competitively

Clefable can't switch into a poison jab + bullet punch from guts conk, but it don't matter anymore now it is OU again. In any case, clefable being out of the way surely did help conk in UU I guess, and then there's the flame orb buff + drain punch combo, knock off to fuckup things that think they can take a drain punch, etc.

I personally thought mega pidgeot would cause it to drop to the depths of the tier but then again pidgeot can't really switch into conk too many times, specially if rocks are up. I can't think of a single UU mon that is completely safe from conkeldurr. Maybe gliscor if no ice punch? Buzzwole? was buzzwole banned from UU last week? I can't remember if that actually happened

In ORAS it's best set was Guts Assault Vest which was good, but not amazing because of the low BP moves.
In SM the burn nerf caused Guts Flame Orb to become the best set and it packs much more power thanks to Facade. The only things holding Conkeldurr back were Clefairy and Buzzwole and now both are gone from UU.
I'm gonna put some calcs to show how dangerous it is:

This means a fully physical defensive Florges(the most common one) is not counter. And of course Ghost are also not a switch-in because of Knock Off

On one hand, Dark/Rock/Ice types are more common and Sylveon, Cress, Doublade and Chesnaught aren't relevant anymore. On the other hand, Conk's actually ranked higher in ORAS than in S/M.
