Elite 4 should use team gimmicks. Be it weather, Trick Room, stall, Baton Pass. Anything.

I can see that goimg with their types.
Perhaps they don't even need the attack but the room itself is this.

Water elite four has a room where it rains constantly and has a team that takes advantage of rain.

Same with trick room and an elite four using really slow buff pokemon to attack first and inflict sleep set spikes and roar/whirlwind

Replace types with a team strategy or gimmick. Replace Water type with Rain spamming with Swift Swimmers and Steel types that appreciate rain, etc.

I really like it when the pokemon have a particular feel to theme that lends to a theme.

You could probably guess what kind of trainer would use this team in-game, for example.

agatha is ghost/poison
lance is dragon/flying
koga is poison/bug
karen is dark/poison
but aaron's ace is drapion and flints team is ghost and normal which are bullshit

A bald, middle-aged man with a beer gut wearing pink-lensed Lennon glasses and an ill-fitting leather outfit from his youth.

He used to be a well-known hotshot trainer with beautiful blonde hair, who quickly became a member of the E4 thanks to his achievements. However, his world changed when he suddenly became a single father, a baby dropped on his doorstep. Unable to leave her be, he dropped out of being a trainer, and raised her full-time.

Now, almost two decades later, he has returned to the trainer world, returning to the E4 all while trying to reclaim his glory days. In his free time, he shambles all over the region, helping trainers with his "ace trainer tricks" (while secretly just trying to follow his daughter around, who has now become her own trainer).

Although he looks like a dope, he is the 4th member of the E4 and is quite the challenge.

As for theme, it'd be a kind of Aztec black sun/eclipse destruction/rebirth type theme.

While, IO'm quite aware they don't normally use Shinies in normal play... Fuck that. It's supposed to be based on me and I have hundreds of them legitimately caught/bred/obtained from events most of which even in the first and third groups are competitively done now thanks to Gen 7's HT so if it's me, I'm using them. And I do actually have a bred Rapidash and 3 bred Gyarados so it's not like I'm throwing in something I don't have.

Would kind of prefer something else over Rapidash and Krookodile but nothing really fits the theme in my head in these two types currently.

I don't like using legends, even the sub-legend group legends most of the time so though I'd like to include Ho-Oh as a rebirth element, I won't and unfortunately a Fire and/or Dark snake doesn't exist yet to include that as a Quetzalcoatl reference.

Theme: Blue

Zeul is a member of the Elite 4 that seems to be struck by constant sadness. Although an admired trainer, he rarely leaves his room and instead chooses to read to himself. He seems to have an aversion to water types.
