To be fair, 'flying living magnet balls' are a lot less able to be justified than 'flying crab'. There's one layer of impossibility there instead of two.

I don't have a justification for 'flying crab,' but someone can probably bullshit something about electricity and magnetism or gas bladders or something.

I'm a big fan of Arvalis, I see this shrimp thing and i see another fan, someone who wants pokemon to be seen in a more realistic light.

Shrimp exist. Simple as that. Hedgehogs that literally grow flowers from their backs like soil isn't realistic, that's why it isn't drawn that why, it's a fantasy element translated away. Look at his Gengar; we have bat monsters in real life, but we don't have ghosts. Ghosts don't exist, bats do, so Gengar is a bat. Crabs exist, magnets don't, so Magnemite is a crab.

The shrimp Shaymin isn't necessarily better than the original cartoon design, though in my opinion it is, but it's certainly more realistic. That's what i defend and that's what I like about arvalis
