One thing's for sure. The fanbase feels a lot more stale and frustrated then it was even just a year ago.

SM had a lot of hype but also it held a lot of hopes for GF finally getting their shit right. Not only they messed up again but also created a game thats not enjoyable to replay.

I'm not implying pokemon games are hard, I'm implying SM aren't the hardest among the main games.

Trials are mostly easy garbage, even easier than gyms. Almost all of them give you an incredibly easy out right before the fight or have stupid AI. I would also argue that Kukui is easier than Cynthia, Ghetsis, and Wallace if you want to include him. Possibly Steven if you don't use Swampert/Whiscash.
