It was my favorite Pokemon time with the best games, not just RSE, also colosseum,XD-GoD,Box,Channel.
The good old Pokemon Championships (no shit retard rules like VGC)
the good old Netbattle (no shit tier lists from smogon faggots and actually great battles with one of the best metas (besides gen4))
What happened to Pokemon, its community and its games? :(
Everything started with Red and Blue, pokemon became better and better and after Gen 4 everything became more and more shitm but is was playable and kinda enjoyable, but gen7 killed everything.

Me too
But it's still enjoyable for me, especially gen 7

My nigga
Pokemon stop being good since gen 2, gen 3 killed it

How to spot a redditor. That's not to say I don't disagree with you, I feel the community has become more and more autistic after gen III.
>>33048438
>liking GC games makes you a redditor
>>33048498
I was talking about the reddit spacing and the random emoticon, you fool.
>>33048330
Ok, then go back and replay those games
Time doesn't go back, conplaining won't help

ehhh, I always thought gen 4 was a very big straight upgrade, even when it introduced centralizing stuff like Chomp.
Also the gen 5 games are by far the best the single player adventures have ever been. I do agree on having serious nostalgia for most things about gen 3. Like shit, it was actually fucking hard to catch 'em all.
>>33048683
>Like shit, it was actually fucking hard to catch 'em all.
That's because you need at least four games (LeafGreen, Colosseum, GoD, Emerald) to have all resources to catch them all and even then you have to beat either LeafGreen or Emerald three times.

1998~2002 were arguably the best, Hoennbabies and the faggots who came after them will never know how great it was during the golden age of Pokemon.
My favorite times was gen 5.
>random match making finally built in the games
>no need to buy spin offs and home consoles to have everything
>random ass meta
>perfect blend of 2D and 3D
Gen 3 was really cool for single player (hell, just XD and Emerald would get you more play time than any other gen) and there's a lot of things that I liked in it, but my enjoyment really peaked at gen 5, both because of improvements and because of my own maturity

This, and 2007-2011. The Gen 3 years sucked. Apart from the games not being as good, the online community wasn't all that robust. Gen 4 and Gen 5 to a little lesser extent were the peak. Partially due to a better online community and normies shitting on the game a little less. That period where everybody wanted to play more adult games was really tough to be a pokemon fan.

Reddit spacing is the most forced garbage to ever appear. I'm convinced you put it in your post to get replies, so here's your (You).
>>33049383
Gen 4 and 5 were even worse than gen 3. Somehow the designs sank lower than gen 3's, the power level bullshit went straight out the door, and you get shitty slow games with the children who defend them. There's a reason why almost every gen 4 and 5 game is considered shit outside of this useless echo chamber.
Pokemon died after gen 2. Everyone here is just shitting on its corpse and acting like it's a good thing.

What championships are you even talking about? There was no video game world championships between 2000 and 2008, only TCG.
>>33049478
maybe not in murrica, but in europe.
2004 was one of the best championships of all time in Germany for example.
>>33048330
I guess it depends from where you come,
Gen 3 was s-tier in europe with great quality events from Nintendo themself.
great, big tournaments, we used giant cinema screens for the top 3, holy shit it was the best time of my life.
>>33051279
>>33051305
This explains why gen3 and oras sold so much better in europe than in burgerland
