Offensive special stabs on those typings would make it a worthy baton pass switch in with iether a speed or spa boost.

Would be OU for the Inferno Spam, although accurate Focus Blasts are nice too. Would fight with Volcarona and Zard-Y as a fast special attacker. Outspeeds Zard-Y and overpowers Volcarona but Volcarona can boost. Would be surprisingly bulky since almost anything fighting it gets burned before it has a chance to hit. and since it gets Extrasensory it can rape Keldeos that aren't carrying scarfs thanks to that nice speed.

fire is a decent offensive typing but it needs something else, the most helpful thing would be ground since it hits other fire types and rock types that resist fire

it can't rely n scarf for speed so it needs a significant boost to let's say 120 and 149 SpA
40 more points to go, 10 def +spdef 20 attack for maybe wild charge coverage.

I don't think from then on it needs a significant further boost in form of an ability, it's fast and will do a lot of damge, but it should go down quite easily too with many weaknesses and the general strenght of OU. his HA flash fire seems fine

Anything faster than it or with strong priority puts a dent in Eruptions BP.
Then there's Pokémon who resist fire with a good special defence or with flash fire do well against it too.

With poor physical defence and ok special it gets revenge killed pretty easily too

It doesn't learn it BECAUSE it's volcanic, it learns it because it's a water type. If volcanic was a reason, the others would learn it. Even aside from all that, it's a legendary and not subject to normal distribution rules.
